Authenticity Checked

A dog that is physically stimulated but mentally under-challenged will not become calmer. It will become more enduring. Agility solves both at the same time, because your dog has to concentrate, pay attention to you, and move in a coordinated way. Twenty minutes on the course usually replaces a significantly longer walk.

Suits you if

  • your garden is at least 8 meters long
  • your dog can be called back and wait briefly
  • you want to continue practicing at home between club sessions
  • you have a flat lawn or soft ground available

Does not suit you if

  • your garden is shorter than 8 meters. You can set up the equipment, but not train effectively
  • you only have a patio or paving. Jumps on hard surfaces put a lot of strain on the joints
  • your dog is still growing and you want full jump height
  • you are looking for competition equipment. In competitions, there are 12 slalom poles, here there are 6

What's in the set

  • Hurdle, 85 cm high, jump bar 60 cm wide, bases 30 cm
  • Jump frame, 85 x 85 cm
  • Tire with stand, 85 cm high, frame width 60 cm
  • Slalom with 6 poles, each 85 cm high, 60 cm spacing
  • PVC, plug-in system without tools, no electricity

Club dimensions for home use

The slalom spacing of 60 cm is the same as that used at dog parks and in competitive sports. Your dog therefore learns the real movement here and not a simplified variant.

What's missing, we openly admit: A competition includes 12 slalom poles, this set has 6. For beginners, training, and warm-ups, this is perfectly sufficient; for exam preparation, you can supplement later.

Space requirement

Use Area (guideline)
Practicing one element individually approx. 8 x 4 m
Slalom alone approx. 7 x 3 m
Two to three elements approx. 12 x 6 m
All four in a row approx. 15 x 8 m

Your dog runs agility at speed and needs run-up and run-out space, not just the area of the equipment. The values apply to a medium-sized dog and are empirical guidelines, not a standard. Keep at least 2 meters of clear space from fences, walls, and glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

My garden is about 10 x 5 m. Is that enough?
For two elements and the slalom, yes, if you set them up one after another. For a continuous course, it is too little; your dog won't get up to speed and will brake before the boundary.

What is the correct jump height?
The deciding factor is the wither height, not weight or age. Measure from the ground to the highest point of the shoulder blade and start significantly below that. The growth plates only close in the second year of life, depending on the size.

Does it hold up in wind?
Light PVC elements may tip over in gusts. Secure on soft ground with pegs or weigh down the bases.

Can I take it with me?
Yes, the plug-in system is detachable and fits in the car boot.

Returns?
14 days without reason.
