The tunnel is the element that almost every dog understands immediately.

That's precisely why it's suitable as an introduction to agility and as a building block between more challenging exercises, reliably providing a sense of achievement.

Suits you if

  • your garden is at least 6 meters long
  • your dog is still young and not allowed to jump
  • you want to introduce an insecure dog to equipment
  • you're looking for joint-friendly activity that involves no impact

Not suitable if

  • your garden is shorter than 6 meters. Your dog exits the tunnel at speed and needs run-out space
  • you want to set it up on a slope. The tunnel will roll away
  • you want to simulate a trial. Competition tunnels are 5 to 6 meters long; this one measures 3 meters
  • you have a very large dog and don't want to check the diameter beforehand

Data

  • Length 300 cm
  • Material polyester
  • Foldable, setup without tools
  • Folded, transportable in the car trunk

What it trains

Courage in confined spaces, sense of direction, and body control. The most underestimated point is working by voice without seeing you. A dog that continues through the tunnel on command will also work more reliably outdoors. The tunnel is one of the standard pieces of equipment in club training, here in a foldable version for the garden and meadow.

Space requirement

Setup Area (approximate)
Straight, with approach and exit approx. 11 x 3 m
Set up as an arch approx. 8 x 5 m
Only approaching at a walk approx. 6 x 3 m

Empirical values for a medium-sized dog at normal speed. There should be at least 3 meters of clear space at the exit, without fences, walls, or furniture.

Frequent Questions

My dog is afraid to go in. What should I do?
Push the tunnel together very short, so that the dog can see the other end immediately, and call from the opposite side. Only when the dog walks through relaxed, gradually extend it. Never push through or lure and then hold them, as this will create exactly the blockage you want to resolve.

Will my big dog fit through?
The deciding factor is the height at the withers, not the length of the dog. A dog that has to crouch will move slower and lose enjoyment. For very large breeds, please contact us beforehand, and we will tell you the diameter.

From what age?
Significantly earlier than jumps, because there is no impact. The tunnel can be practiced with young dogs at a walk and without pressure.

Can I leave it outside?
Better not. Polyester fades in the sun and stays damp when it rains. Fold it dry and store it indoors.

Returns?
14 days without justification.
